Hair-Cut-A-Thon Raised $705!

Last year, JuJu Salon owner, Steve Jiu asked friends and family to donate money to Beauty Night in lieu of birthday presents. He donated $100 to Beauty Night. This year Steve wanted to go bigger. He opened up his Aveda Concept Salon to hold a Hair-Cut-A-Thon to raise money for Beauty Night’s 3 streams of programming.

Bean Vancouver’s Vanessa Marshall recruited volunteers to help facilitate the event while Jiu recruited his staff and other salon owners to participate. Thanks to engaging more supporters, he multiplied his donation by 7. Yesterday’s efforts raised $705 for Beauty Night.

Toni & Guy Donate $3000 for Beauty Night Society

This evening Toni & Guy will be presenting Beauty Night Society a cheque for $3000. “I am honoured and excited,” says Caroline MacGillivray, Beauty Night President and Founder. MacGillivray, who will be accepting the cheque on Beauty Night’s behalf. “You can have fun and make a difference, ” says MacGillivray, “We do that every day with our programming with our clients. It felt like Toni & Guy used the same philosophy when they asked us if they could celebrate their 10 year anniversary and donate the proceeds to Beauty Night. The show was exciting and entertaining. We were honoured to be part of it.”

Splash 2009: January 25th in Toronto

On January 25th, Splash 2009 event is in Toronto. This event promises to be exciting experience for those in the beauty world.

Beauty Night Society brochures and volunteer information will be available at the event. Beauty Night is looking for volunteers in the Beauty industry for upcoming events in Toronto.
